We are the local agents for Towergate Caravan Insurance, an insurance designed exclusively for Caravan Holiday Homes, which provides you with the widest cover at the lowest price.
There are two types of comprehensive cover available, which are as follows:-
This cover is available for caravans up to 20 years old.
Providing that the sum insured would cover full cost of an equivalent new caravan, then in the event of a total loss situation (for example destruction of caravan by fire or gales) the insurance company would provide a brand new replacement.
The cost of this cover is £12.50 per £1,000.00 (1.25%), plus 5% Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)
Example
Total cost new caravan including contents and site clearance & delivery £12,000.00
Cost insured = £12,000.00 x 1.25% = £150.00 + 5% IPT = £157.50 per year
2. INDEMNITY (Market Value)
This cover is for caravans of any age.
This cover is comprehensive, but in the event of a total loss situation arising, the claim for loss would be limited to the current open market value of the caravan.
The cost for this cover is £17.50 per £1,000.00 (1.75%), plus 5% Insurance Premium Tax. There is a minimum sum insured for the year of £75.00 +IPT.
Example
Market Value of caravan including contents and site clearance and delivery £6,000.00
Cost to insure = £6,000.00 x 1.75% = £105.00 + 5% IPT = £110.25 per year.
