| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Useful answers to some important questions people ask before purchasing a caravan holiday home. (Q) What exactly is a caravan holiday home? (A) It is a self contained portable holiday home. Fitted with a flush toilet, shower, hot and cold water and mains electricity. They are fully furnished with a lounge, dining area, kitchen, shower room with toilet and hand basin. They may have either 1, 2 or 3 double and/or twin bedded bedrooms and the caravans themselves range in size from 23ft up to 40ft x 12ft wide. (Q) How do i find the perfect park? (A) At Bridlington Caravans we specialise in finding the most suitable site (park) for you and your family, and we pride ourselves in being able to offer the best choice in the area. (Q) How long does the caravan park stay open? (A) This varies, but most parks open on the 1st of March and close on the 31st of october. Some parks stay open until the 30th November with just a few opening over the winter weekends and bank holidays. (Q) How long can I keep my caravan? (A) Most parks have an age limit of 15 years. (Q) Can I hire out my caravan? (A) Yes, but the caravan must be placed on a park which allows letting. (Q) If I go onto a private park can my family use my caravan? (A) Yes, all parks allow family use and often friends and relatives providing they are informed. (Q) How many people can sleep in a caravan? (A) 4, 6, 8, or 10 depending on the model. (Q) Are dogs allowed on parks? (A) Nearly all parks allow dogs providing they are kept under control. (Q) How much will everything cost me? (A) Initially there are a few extra costs over and above the basic cost of the caravan. They are :- delivery, sitting, and connection to the mains, refrigerator, steps, gas cylinders and insurance. In the majority of cases the park will require a "one off" pitch payment, this is for the provision of the plot. Then there is naturally the caravans annual pitch fees. |
